3D SCAN AND RECONSTRUCTION OF TRANSMISSION CASE

KubiTech took on a project to generate a 3D scan of a transmission casing and remake the cast component for fabrication in a CNC mill. Using modern scanning techniques, we were able to generate a highly detailed point cloud and recreate the defining features of the casing while improving the robustness of the design and implemented requested design changes from the customer. The combination of an accurate scanned model and measurements of the original article created a result that was accurate and improved to meet the exacting needs of the customer.
